Quickly capture and strictly treat a person who has disregard the law and a woman’s right to life, health and dignity

Trinh Tien Hai’s action did not o­nly cause utmost pain for Thuong physically and spiritually but also left long-lasting effects for her health and life in the coming time.

On May 16^th, 2006, in the capacity of caring, protecting and representing women’s interests, , Mme. Ha Thi Khiet, member of the Central Party Committee, President of Vietnam Women’s Union, President of the National Committee for the Advancement of Women in Vietnam sent a letter requesting President of Hoa Binh Women’s Union to start petition to concerned agencies encouraging them to take necessary measures to ensure the security of Phuong’s life and capture and strictly treat Trinh Tien Hai, making this case an example for those who disregard the law and women’s right to life, health and dignity.

At the same time, President Ha Thi Khiet suggested that Hoa Binh Women’s Union encourage women to promote their spirit of mutual affection for supporting Thuong spiritually and materially so that Thuong can recover her health and bravely fight against this evil. Besides, Hoa Binh Women’s Union needed to provide the Vietnam Women’s Union with updated information o­n capturing, investigating, suing and judging Trinh Tien Hai and the treatment with Bui Thi Thuong.
