Improving Clean Water and Hygiene Conditions for Ethnic Minority Students

The pilot program will be implemented in Da Nang, Gia Lai, and Lai Chau, including activities such as installing water filtration systems, establishing “Girls’ Corners,” and providing hygiene and reproductive health education. The initiative also promotes behavioral change, safe learning environments, and sustainable school sanitation practices through cooperation among local authorities, schools, and social partners.
The close cooperation between the Vietnam Women’s Union and UNICEF, together with the support of local authorities, demonstrates a strong commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. The initiative is expected to spread meaningful humanitarian values and contribute to building an equal and progressive education system where ethnic minority children receive comprehensive care for both intellectual and physical development.
