The Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) has reaffirmed its vital role in entrusting policy credit alongside the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) and the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank), supporting women in economic development and sustainable poverty reduction.

The pilot implementation of green loans by TYM marks a pioneering step in the field of microfinance in Vietnam, affirming TYM’s commitment to accompanying the global green economy movement and contributing to sustainable economic development.

On December 22, 2024, Party General Secretary To Lam signed and promulgated Resolution 57-NQ/TW (Resolution 57) of the Politburo, towards breakthroughs in national science-technology development, innovation, and digital transformation. Emphasizing that scientists are pivotal actors, Resolution 57 introduces numerous incentive mechanisms and grants scientists greater autonomy, thereby motivating their creativity and dedication.

The Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) held an event on October 12 to honour the winners of a nationwide women’s startup contest and present the Vietnam Women Awards 2024.

In recent years, many women entrepreneurs across the country have been successfully starting and running innovative businesses. Their success is made possible thanks to many factors, including the launch of a project on supporting women’s startups in the 2017-2025 period (Project 939).

Being aware of the profound meaning of social policy credit, over the last years, the VWU has developed and integrated models and projects for socio-economic development and sustainable poverty reduction with the use of social policy credit funds.

With a network of more than 5,000 center leaders at 22 TYM branches participating directly every day and ensuring an important role in grassroots activities, in 2024, TYM has developed a plan and implemented the exploitation of phrase training activities with many improvements and innovations.

On the afternoon of May 22, 2024, Vice President of the Vietnam Women’s Union Nguyen Thi Thu Hien paid a working visit at Thanh Hoa branch of Tinh Thuong One Member Limited Liability Microfinance Institution (TYM). The conference to review the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement between VWU and Nestlé Vietnam Co., Ltd. in 2023 was organized on November 24.

Annually, the VWUs at all levels coordinate with the local SPB to organize training courses to improve knowledge and management skills for trust managers and loan & savings team leaders.

On 25th October, the Vietnam Women's Union cooperates with the Police Department of Management of Prison, Compulsory Re-education Center and Reformatory - Ministry of Public Security to organize the Program "Start-up giving wings for the future" at Quyet Tien prison, Tuyen Quang province.

Recently, in addition to supporting women’s economic development, Tinh Thuong One member Limited liability Microfinance institution (TYM) has had many activities contributing to enhancing the position of women, especially in the context of Vietnam’s current international integration, contributing to the implementation of the Resolution Supporting Women in International Integration until 2030 of Vietnam Women’s Union.

Recently, Tinh Thuong Microfinance Institution (TYM) was honored to be awarded a Top Impact Award for ranking top 3 performing financial service provider (FSP) in Asia in the 2023 Microfinance Index by 60 Decibels. TYM is the only representative of Vietnam won this Award.

The regional final round contest of “The 2023 Women’s Start-up, Promoting Indigenous Resources” took place in September at three locations: Nam Dinh, Phu Yen and Ben Tre provinces.
