The Director of sanatorium center in Nghe An province received the present of Central WU
Also presented with gifts was the family of martyr Tong Khu of Mong ethnic – a militiaman of Nam Can commune, Ky Son district, Nghe An province, who died while doing his task of patrolling the border.
The centers received and cared for hundreds of seriously wounded male and female soldiers, martyrs relatives, Heroic Vietnamese Mothers of Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh provinces. Many wounded soldiers were able to fight against diseases with the help and care of staff and doctors at the centers, regardless of difficult conditions. They promoted the spirit of Vietnamese soldiers - “disabled but not worthless” and have been reunited with the family and community. Mr. Tran Van Tinh, 77 years old from Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province who lost 2 hands said, “Thanks to the Party and State, difficulties in our life have been released. We look forward to further attention, helping us be able to fight against diseases and lead a meaningful/useful life”.
The Vietnam Women’s Union also coordinates with other ministries, agencies and mass organizations in other related activities, mobilizes/encourages Women’s Union at all levels in raising funds to build houses of gratitude, setting up repayment funds, contribute to the implementation of policy of war invalids and martyrs and ordinance on preferential treatment for people having made great contributions to the country.
