Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa, President of Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) received the delegation of the Bundestag (German Parliament) Committee for Labour & Social Affairs

 At the meeting, the two sides shared experience and information o­n the movements as well as in promoting women in respective country, the role of VWU in the political system, gender equality and prevention violence against women, the impacts of development projects that have been implemented with the support of Germany partners like Sparkassen Finanzgruppe to the micro finance TYM Fund and of DED to Center of Women and Development, experiences of Germany in creating the precondition for improvement of women’s social position such as kindergarten system and enhancement of the role of men in child care and house work…

On behalf of the VWU Presidium, Madam Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa, VWU’s President, thanked the delegation for their concerns o­n Vietnamese women in general and VWU in particular, and wished the two sides would have more opportunities to promote the cooperation for equality and development of women in both countries.
