A practical support to poor women
In the framework of the project "Improving Economical and Sanitary Conditions of 750 families in the rural area of Quang Xuong district, Thanh Hoa province” financed by Spanish Agency for International Cooperation through Peace and Development (PyD) – a Spanish NGO, the TYM Fund, Women’s Union of Quang Xuong district and People’s Committee of 5 communes in the district handed-over medical equipments to communal medical stations. The hand-over ceremony took place in 3rd July 2007
With an overall worth of around 700 millions VND, these equipments will contribute to improve health care conditions for the people in general and poor women in particular in the 5 project communes of Quang Yen, Quang Trach, Quang Hop, Quang Hoa & Quang Long. In addition, the project will organize 2 training courses for staffs of 5 communal medical stations on equipment use and maintenance; and provide health examination and treatment for about 5,000 women in the 5 project communes.
Beside its loan support activities for poor women, TYM is seeking for more resources in order to meet other essential needs of women, contributing to VWU’s efforts in implementing poverty reduction goal of the country.
