338 Female Candidates Enlisted for the Third Consultative Conference.

According to the Fatherland Front, after the second consultative conference and collecting trust of electors living in candidates’ residential places, there are 1,322 candidates (167 candidates at Central level and 1,155 candidates at local level) who have enough criteria to take part in the third consultative conference (estimated to be held on 15 April) from across the country, reaching the surplus ratio of 2.64 times.

Many provinces have high ratio of introduced people to elected people namely Ho Chi Minh City: 5.62 times (146 people were introduced, of which 26 were elected), Ha Noi City: 4.29 times (90/21), Quang Ninh province: 4.29 times (30/7)…

Of 1115 candidates in official list after the second consultative conference, there were 338 female accounting for 33.59 percent (of whom 17/167 female candidates were recommended by central-level agencies, account for 10.18%). There are 28 provinces/cities which have over 40% women candidates. Many provinces have high rate of female candidates namely Lam Dong, Dien Bien (over 66%), Cao Bang (61.53%). The number of non-Party candidates is 372, accounts for 32.2% (the 11th National Assemblyhas o­nly 201 candidates). Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Noi, Bac Ninh and Thai Binh are the four places which have high number of non-Party nominees.
The oldest candidate is 80 years old and the youngest, 37

 

According to the Fatherland Front, the outstanding point of the third consultative conference was the increase in the ratio of self-nominees. It was 3.66 times higher than this in the 11th National Assembly Election.
