Of 1115 candidates in official list after the second consultative conference, there were 338 female accounting for 33.59 percent (of whom 17/167 female candidates were recommended by central-level agencies, account for 10.18%). There are 28 provinces/cities which have over 40% women candidates. Many provinces have high rate of female candidates namely Lam Dong, Dien Bien (over 66%), Cao Bang (61.53%). The number of non-Party candidates is 372, accounts for 32.2% (the 11th National Assemblyhas only 201 candidates). According to the Fatherland Front, the outstanding point of the third consultative conference was the increase in the ratio of self-nominees. It was 3.66 times higher than this in the 11th National Assembly Election.
