Women’s Start-up Contest 2021

- Businesses or cooperatives managed/owned by women or businesses or cooperatives with at least 50% of the employees being disadvantaged women or producing products/services for disadvantaged women.
- For contestants who have not registered their business or registered as a household business, including:
+ The livelihood models for poverty reduction have at least 2/3 of members belonging to poor households in border communes and extremely difficult communes;
+ Disadvantaged women: women with disabilities, women affected by HIV, women reintegrating into communities;
+ Member of Tinh Thuong One-member Limited Liability Microfinance Institution (TYM);
+ Female students and vocational trainees as individuals or groups from universities, colleges and vocational schools across the country will participate in the Women Start-up Contests run by the Vietnam Women's Academy and Le Thi Rieng Vocational School.

| The project "supporting women’s start-up in the 2017-2025 period” has promoted the spirit of entrepreneurship, creating jobs, and raising income for people in general and women in particular, thereby contributing to raising social awareness on the role of women in economic development. With the support of the Women's Union at all levels, to date, thousands of women have successfully started their businesses in different regions, fields and types of businesses. Of those, many are ethnic minority women and women with disabilities. |
