A group of Australian paediatricians in co-ordination with local doctors have started to provide free surgery to 41 children with innate deformities in Central Highlands Lam Dong province.
The beneficiaries will also enjoy free post-surgery treatment at the provincial GeneralHospital.
The 13-day charitable operation programme from July 6-18, is part of the volunteer Australian doctors’ activities for poor disabled children in the Asia-Pacific region, said Director of the Lam Dong General Hospital Nguyen Ba Hy.
Apart from free surgery, Australian doctors will provide refresher training to their local counterparts.
