Kristy HSU Tsun-Tzu

Kristy Hsu is an associate research fellow at the Chinese Taipei WTO Center, Chung Hua Institution for Economic Research in Chinese Taipei. Before she joined the Center in August 2003, she was the Executive Secretary of Chinese Taipei APEC Study Center, and served as the APEC Gender Focal Point of Chinese Taipei from 1998 to 2003.

She was the author of the issue paper “Women and Industrial Science and Technology” presented at the 1st APEC Ministerial Meeting o­n Women, October 17-18, 1998, Manila, the Philippines, and the issue paper “Women Entrepreneurship” presented at the 2nd APEC Ministerial Meeting o­n Women, September 17-18, 2002, Guadalajara, Mexico.

 

Kristy Hsu has been working o­n academic fields such as international affairs and organizations, including UN, APEC, WTO, OECD and etc., international trade policy and economic law, gender issues and entrepreneurship, trade and development issues and etc.She has represented Chinese Taipei NGOs in various international activities such as meetings of the UN Committee of Status of Women (CSW), WTO, APEC and OECD, to share her research findings and observations o­n, among others, gender issues in relation to trade/economic and development policy.

 

Currently she is adviser to the Trade and Development Committee, National Confederation of Industries, Chinese Taipei, and Chinese Taipei Women Film/Video Association.She was adviser to the National Youth Council of Executive Yuan, Chinese Taipei, Institute of Information Industry of Chinese Taipei, and chairperson of Gender and IST Committee, Chinese Taipei Union of Women’s Association and etc.
