Carry out the project “Studying and compiling the 80 year history of Vietnam Women’s Union 1930 - 2010”.

The meeting was chaired by Madam Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa – Party’s Central Committee member, President of VWU, head of Steering committee and attended by members of the steering committee and advisory board, former/senior VWU leaders, scientists and representatives from the University of Sciences and Humanities.

At the meeting, Madam Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa talked about the significance of writing the annals . It will summarize the development process of VWU over the past 80 years, which would be an important document, contributing to educate generations of VWU staff and members and to map out strategic goals, activities of VWU in the renovation period.

The annals comprises 2 volumes, volume I (for the period from 1930 to 1976), volume 2 II (from 1976 to 2010).And this project will last 4 years (from 2009 - 2012).

The draft volume 1 has got inputs of members of the steering committee and advisory board, scientists.

To conclude, Madam Nguyen Thanh Hoa wished to have further contributions andactive participation from members of the steering committee and advisory board, scientists and the University of Sciences and Humanities to ensure the progress and quality of the book.
