Female artist’s paintings on display

A painting exhibition of female painters’ club of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association opened on December 1 in Hanoi.

The exhibition introduces 77 paintings of 65 artists which have been created during the past years in various medium such as oil, lacquer, gouache, and mixed medium.

According to fine art crisis Le Quoc Bao, most of the paintings o­n display feature the daily life and places of interest in the country without any conflicts but each work still expresses the own style of art of each painter.

Among artists to the exhibition, some have won prestigious prize such as painters Vu Giang Huong and Tran Thanh Ngoc who won State’s Prize and painter Nguyen Thi Kim who won the Ho Chi Minh Award or some whose names have been known in Vietnam fine arts circle such as painters Truong Mai San, Do Thi Ninh or young painters Cong Kim Hoa, Nguyen Bach Dan and Nguyen Mai Huong.


This is the annual exhibition of the female painters’ club. This year’s exhibition is organised to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the Vietnam Fine Arts (December 10, 1951).


The exhibition opens until December 14 at the Fine Arts Exhibition Hall 16 Ngo Quyen street, Hanoi.
