WU of Kinh Mon district (Hai Duong): Offering affection houses to poor women

Ms. Chinh is a single disable woman, living with a son who is frequently ill. Her house has been in need for repairs for years but she could not afford it. The new house is 38m² in area and worth 50,330,000 VND, of which, Hoang Thach Cement company supported 15 millions VND, WUs, agencies and her family supported the rest of 35,330,000VND.

Ms. The has 2 children, she lived in Quang Ninh after getting married. However, frequently being mistreated by her husband, she sued for a divorce and went back to her hometown with the 2 children. Unfortunately, until now, they are homeless and living with their relatives. The house that she received is 42m² in area and worth 39,680,000 VND, of which, , Hoang Thach Cement company supported 15 millions VND, the rest amount is contributed by WUs, local agencies and her family.

Given new houses, poor families now no longer live in the dilapidated houses. The Affection House has expressed the deep scence of humanity and inherit beautiful Vietnamese tradition of mutual support. It is also an practical action and response to the national motivation o­n “Studying and following the morality of Ho Chi Minh” by staff, members and women of Kinh Mon district.
