VWU’s upcoming events in response to National Action Month on Gender Equality and Gender-based Violence Prevention and Response 2023

The Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) is going to organize a communication event titled "Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence: Let's Join Hands and Make a Change Together" on the morning of November 25, 2023 in Hanoi.
Central VWU leader and staff respond to National Action Month

It is one of the activities to respond to Vietnam National Action Month on Gender Equality and Gender-based violence Prevention and Response 2023 with the theme "Ensuring social security, empowering women and girls to achieve gender equality and eliminate gender-based violence".

The event aims to demonstrate the commitment of the WUs at all levels as well as attract the attention and support of governmental agencies, organizations, individuals and communities in ensuring social security, enhancing empowerment for women and girls, and contributing to the promotion of gender equality and prevention of gender-based violence.

  • Venue: Thong Nhat Park, Le Duan Street, Phuong Lien Ward, Dong Da District, Hanoi

Other activities to be organized by the central VWU will be:

1. A bicycle parade through the streets carrying the message of gender equality.

2. An exhibition showcasing 3D symbols representing gender equality.

3. Forum on "Expanding the Coverage of Maternity Leave Policies in Vietnam", to ensure social security.

4. ORANGE Podcast series engaging social activists to share diverse perspectives on gender equality and gender-based violence, contributing to the spread of gender equality messages.

5. Participation in a Panel Discussion on VTV3's Morning Coffee Program

6. Decorating the headquarters with interactive displays affirming the commitment to take action for gender equality and the prevention of gender-based violence.

7. Extensive coverage of all activities on digital platforms, including fan pages and websites.
