Vietnam Women's Union closely links social policy credit funds with the Government’s national target programs
The Women's Union of Xuan Lap commune, Lam Binh district, Tuyen Quang province supports members to borrow capital for economic development The VWU always upholds its role, responsibility and efforts in the journey with the Bank for Social Policies to bring social policy funds to the poor and other beneficiaries of social welfare in contribution to the implementation of the Party's Resolution on social security. With the guiding viewpoint throughout many terms of the National Women’s Congress, social policy credit activities have been synchronously implemented in the VWU system with many solutions. Therefore, the VWU has always been considered an organization with effective trusted activities at the national level as well as in many provinces and localities for many years.
Closely linking social policy credit with national target programs and strategies of the Government
From the resources of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction (2016 - 2020 and 2021 – 2025), the VWU has transformed the poverty reduction support method in the direction of building livelihood models to create on-the-spot jobs for poor women associated with preserving national cultural identity. Activities to support the livelihood model are changed from free of charge provision to conditional support. Borrowers commit to escape poverty and return the initial funds to assist other members.

Successfully advising the Government to promulgate 02 Projects
The VWU successfully advised the Government to promulgate strategic and long-term projects. Specifically, from 2015 to now, the Government has issued 02 projects "Supporting women in business start - up in the 2017 - 2025 period" (Project 939) and "Supporting women-run cooperatives and creating jobs for female workers until 2030" (Project 01) and assigned the VWU to be in charge of implementation.
From 2022 up to now, within the framework of Project 939 and Project 01, there have been 775 cooperatives and more than 10,000 women run - cooperative groups supported by the VWU; creating on-the-spot jobs for over 86% of local workers; providing vocational trainings for 48.8% of female workers and contributing to poverty reduction for 66.9% of cooperatives members households.

Pioneering in the implementation of the Comprehensive Financial Strategy
In addition to programs and projects, the VWU also focuses on linking the implementation of the National Comprehensive Financial Strategy to social policy credit borrowers. Many financial education and management activities have been conducted, helping beneficiaries gain more understanding and knowledge about finance, and improve the efficiency of funds use.
