UK group helps tackle child sex abuse in Vietnam
The group, known as the British Child Exploitation and online Protection Centre, has drawn 20 governmental and non-governmental organisations together to share information, and create joint education and awareness campaigns. The Chief Executive of the British group, Jim Gamble, said he had shared his expertise in many fields with his Vietnamese counterparts. This included helping the Vietnamese police to arrest known foreign sex offenders who think they can hide in Southeast Asian countries. He added that the group aims to become an efficient organisation providing information relevant to local demand.
