The group, including 16 Exciter 135 motorbikes, set out in Indonesia through Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam and will stop in the Philippines.
Bikers selected from Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Japan and Vietnam drove on an itinerary of 2,612 kilometres from Hanoi to Can Tho, visiting almost all famous landscapes of Vietnam and joining social activities in big cities.
“Green campaign” was one of the social activities that the Saigontourist has held for Pan Asean Touring throughout the itinerary.
When they arrived at Ha Long city, the group presented 16 dustbins to the management board of Thanh Nien (Youth) Beach in Bai Chay. The bikers pushed the dustbins along the coast and collected garbage.
Having arrived in Nghe An province, the group planted trees at Ho Chi Minh Square. After laying a wreath at Ho Chi Minh Monument, the bikers planted two green trees on a hill side which bears the image of Chung Mountain in President Ho Chi Minh’s homeland.
In Da Nang City, the group presented gifts to Agent Orange victims. In the beach city of Nha Trang, the members gave presents to orphans at the Social Sponsoring Centre.
For the past few years, the Saigontourist has organised many trans-Vietnam tours by motorbikes for international tourists from Australia, the United States, Sweden, and France and from joint venture companies in Vietnam.
