Vietnam Senior Official to APEC

Mrs. Tran Thi Thu Hang was born in Thanh Hoa, a province in northern center part of Vietnam. She studied International Trade at the Hanoi Foreign Trade University, Development Economics at CERDI, France and Public Management at National University of Singapore and Kennedy of Government respectively.
Before joining the Ministry of Trade in 1995, Mrs. Hang used to lecture at the Hanoi Foreign Trade University and the National University. She started her civil service in American and International Organisations Department, then worked for the Multilateral Trade Policy Department. Her works cover Vietnam economic policies with ASEAN, ASEM, APEC and the WTO. She has assumed the position of Deputy Director General of the Department and Director of MUTRAP project since January 2003.
Mrs. Hang hobbies are reading, music, sports and her two sons.
For social activities, she advocates to environment and gender issues. Mrs Hang is a member of the Committee for the Advancement of Women in the Ministry. She has many publications and research works on trade and environment.
Mrs. Hang has assumed the role of Vietnam Senior Official to APECsince 2003.
