Tea Festival to Set Eight Records
Mr. Nguyen Vu Hoang says the purpose of the record setters is to lure more people to the four-day event starting December 21.
Among the obvious candidates are the three giant tea sets made to order by the Bau Truc pottery village. Each set comprises a teapot measuring 1.5 meters from top to bottom and 800 millimeters across, a 500 by 400-millimeter cup, and a 700mm-wide plate.
Another two for the record books are the tea break for 2,000 people at the same time and having 3,000 people partying on the candle-lit shore of Xuan Huong Lake.
