After the tour, the two Ladies had an exchange with role models in educational development for women and young girls in Vietnam.

At the exchange, VWU’s Vice President Tran Lan Phuong made a brief report on the Vietnamese women's movement and its outstanding achievements. As an organization representing legal and legitimate rights and interests of women, the VWU has been playing a pivotal role in women's work. The VWU at all levels has actively cared for and supported women in economic development and family building, participated effectively in Party and government building, proposed new policies, given social feedback and supervision, and mobilized the entire society to realize gender equality and care for women and children.

In external relations, the VWU has cooperation with more than 300 international partners. A friendly relationship has been developed between the Vietnam Women's Union and All-China Women’s Federation (ACWF), making positive contributions to the two countries’ relations. "The VWU wishes to strengthen cooperation in many fields with the ACWF. The presence of the two Ladies in the friendly space at the Vietnamese Women's Museum is a source of encouragement to the VWU and participants at the Get-together" Ms. Tran Lan Phuong said.

The two Ladies then listened to a report by Ms. Le Thi Hoa, a teacher at Dong Son Primary School, Chuong My district, Hanoi. Seventeen years ago, she started an “Affection Class” for disabled children. Her class is now growing well with totally 7 teachers and 148 disadvantaged pupils. Followed was a story of Giang Thi Xinh, a H’Mong ethnic girl of 8th grade from Lung Phinh commune, Bac Ha district, Lao Cai province. She is a member of the Management Board of the Club "Leaders of Changes", which is being organized by VWU within the Project "Implementing gender equality and solving urgent problems for women and children" in ethnic minority and mountainous areas. She shared some difficulties encountered by local women and girls and her activities in the Club.
