Over 500 turns of WU’s members access to loans from a project
Since the project’s starting in June 2006, to date, there have been more than 500 turns of membersaccessed to loans from the project (equivalent to over 650 milions VND). They have been also provided with knowledge of using effectively the fund to develop household economy.
Besides, 300 turns of members are trained of knowledge on personal hygiene, environmental sanitation, food safety, animal breeding technique; they are also provided with communication materials and skills to transfer these knowledge to the community. Currently, there are more than 100 volunteers who have been trained and become motivators in the locality... Over 130 turns of local leaders have been trained of advanced skills on project management to ensure and reach project’s effectiveness and objectives.
Apart from communication activities, the project coordinated with the locality in upgrading medical equipments in communal health care stations, building up models of water filter containers, nutrition meals... in order to improve environmental sanitation and health care conditions for the villagers.
