Orphan village opens in Thanh Hoa province
The central province of Thanh Hoa on Sept. 10 inaugurated an SOS children's village which was built with assistance from international humanitarian organisations.
Present at the opening ceremony of the orphanage were Tong Thi Phong, Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee (CPVCC) and Director of the CPVCC's Commission for Mass Mobilisation; Nguyen Thi Hang, Minister of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs; and representatives from SOS Children's Villages International and SOS Children Village Viet Nam.
SOS Children's Village Thanh Hoa is now home to 65 orphans and 19 orphan caretakers.
There are over 1,000 orphans and thousands of disabled children in Thanh Hoa province.
