Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen elected President of Vietnam Women’s Union

100% of the Executive Committee members voted Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party-Designated Representation in VWU, member of the VWU Executive Committee, member of the VWU Presidium, to be VWU President for the 2022-2027 term.
Mr. Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Party Organization Commission, presented the Politburo's Decision to Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen.

On the afternoon of November 6, 2024, the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) organized the 11th Conference of the 13th Central Executive Committee to complete the personnel of the VWU Executive Committee, the Presidium and the President for the 2022-2027 term.

The conference was attended by Mr. Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Party Organization Commission; Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hanoi City; Mr. Nguyen Quang Duong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Party Organization Commission; Mr. Pham Tat Thang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Party Commission for Mobilization; Ms. Ha Thi Nga, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee, Former President of the Vietnam Women's Union; representatives of Party Committees, Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee; Member of Executive Committee of the Central Women's Union term XIII, 2022-2027 period.

At the Conference, 100% of the Executive Committee members voted Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party-Designated Representation in VWU, member of the VWU Executive Committee, member of the VWU Presidium, to be VWU President for the 2022-2027 term.

Speaking at the Conference, the newly elected VWU President Nguyen Thi Tuyen expressed her honor and respect to the duties entrusted by the Politburo, the Secretariat, General Secretary To Lam, other Party and State leaders and the VWU Executive Committee.

She promised to make all her efforts, uphold the pioneering and exemplary spirit, strictly follow the Party's principles, and together with the leadership and officials of the VWU at all levels, realize the goals and targets of the Resolution of the 13th National Women's Congress, focus on implementing comprehensive solutions to promote effectively the VWU activities, contributing to the successful realization of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.

- Secretary of the Chuong My District Youth Union (1993-2000), Chairwoman of the Information Communication and Education (IEC) Commission of the Chuong My District Party Committee (2000-2004), Vice-Chairwoman of the Chuong My District People's Committee (2004-2005), Secretary of the Youth Union and Chairwoman of the Youth Association of Ha Tay Province (2005-2008), Permanent Vice-Chairwoman of the Hanoi City Party Committee's IEC Department (2008-2010), Secretary of the Chuong My District Party Committee (2010-2015), President of the Hanoi City Labor Federation (2015-2019), Chairwoman of the Hanoi City Party Committee's Commission for Mass Mobilization (2019-2020), Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee (2020 – October 2024; from June 25 to July 17, 2024, assigned to oversee the operations of the Hanoi City Party Committee).
