Lunar New Year Greetings to retired cadres of Vietnam Women’s Union

In January 21st 2009 morning, a Get-together to extend Lunar New Year greetings and to present gifts to retired cadres of VWU was held in Hanoi, at the Centre for Women and Development of Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU)
Present at the Get-together were members of the Standing Presidium, heads of VWU departments/units, representatives of VWU head office’s Party Committee, Youth Union and Trade Union and all retired cadres of the VWU’s head office in Hanoi. Madam Nguyễn Thị Thanh Hòa, member of the Central Party Committee, President of VWU highlighted the work of VWU done in 2008 – the first year of implementing Resolution of Xth National Women’s Congress and key tasks of VWU in 2009. on this occasion, Madam Nguyễn Thị Minh Nhã, former Vice President of VWU was awarded State Medal of Independence. In the warm atmosphere of the Get – together of VWU retired carders from different generations, leaders of VWU extended the best wishes and handed birthday presents to retired cadres aged 70, 75, 80, 85 and 90. Also on this occasion, VWU leaders handed New Year presents to Vietnam Hero Mothers sponsored by VWU – mother Hoành and mother Sở to share with them the warmest feelings and attitudes in the Traditional Lunar New Year Holidays.
