The parade recreated and reaffirmed the historic significance of the August Revolution, which gave birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam - the first people’s democratic state in Southeast Asia - and ushered in a new era of national independence and socialism.

The spirit of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2, continues to be a source of pride and a driving force for the Vietnamese nation, inspiring innovation, creativity, and determination to build a comprehensively developed and sustainable Vietnam in the new era.

The parade featured 22 marching contingents of the Vietnam People’s Army, 17 contingents of the People’s Public Security Force, and 4 international military contingents from China, the Russian Federation, Laos, and Cambodia. It also showcased a wide range of specialized vehicles, modern equipment, and advanced weaponry of both the Army and Public Security forces.

Following the armed forces was the Red Flag contingent, leading 13 civilian groups: the Vietnam Fatherland Front, representatives of 54 ethnic groups, Vietnamese war veterans, former public security officers, workers, farmers, intellectuals, the revolutionary press, entrepreneurs, women, overseas Vietnamese, youth, and the Culture and Sports contingent.
