Nearly 100 photos of Hanoi by French journalist and photographer, Dominique de Miscault, are on display at the Vietnam Cultural Centre in Paris.

At the exhibition, which opened on October 9, viewers can see the Vietnamese capital city’s lifestyle and scenery in the past and its transition towards the future.

Mrs. de Miscault said that this is only a selection of the thousands of pictures she took during her visits to Vietnam.

“I came to Vietnam for the first time in 1992 and have been back more than 20 times. Each time I roam through Hanoi’s Old Quarter, I can feel the dynamic change in the city and I hope it can preserve its unique attraction forever,” she added.

She has already organised 15 exhibitions on Vietnam in both France and Vietnam and published the book “Hanoi Today”.

As one of the chief editors of the Perspective France-Vietnam Magazine, she has written many articles about Vietnam’s land and people and the traditional friendship between Vietnam and France. She has also taken part in many activities to support the Agent Orange victims.

For her contributions, she was awarded the Medal “For the Cause of the Vietnamese Press” by the Vietnam Journalists Association in 2006.
