“2023 Women’s Start-up, Promoting Indigenous Resources” Regional final round contest

The regional final round contest of “The 2023 Women’s Start-up, Promoting Indigenous Resources” took place in September at three locations: Nam Dinh, Phu Yen and Ben Tre provinces.

Implementing the Vietnam Women's Union Presidium’s Plan to organize the 2023 Women's Start-up Contest and the 2023 National target program on building new-style rural areas plan, the regional final round contest of “the 2023 Women’s start-up, promoting indigenous resources” and trade fairs were held in Nam Dinh, Phu Yen and Ben Tre provinces. At these regional final round contests, the excellent start - up ideas/projects were selected and awarded.

WU at all levels have many activities to support women’s start-up

The regional final rounds witnessed the participation of representatives of startup projects, organizing committee, panel of jury, representatives of provinces/cities WU having startup projects; sponsors, investors..., central and local media.

Within the framework of the contest, there were trade fairs to introduce and promote startup projects’ products, and OCOP, handicraft products, cooperative groups, businesses and women - run business households from the WU at all levels of Nam Dinh, Phu Yen and Ben Tre provinces.

This is a series of activities that the organizers carry out seriously, effectively, economically and honor, arouse and spread the spirit of entrepreneurship, production and business development of women in the community and society.


Held from 2018 until now, through the Women's Startup Contest, there have been 3,549 project proposals/startup ideas in diverse fields such as agriculture, forestry, fishery, processing, and biotechnology, handicrafts, services, smart livelihood models adapting to climate change... registered to participate and there were 41 businesses and 42 cooperatives with excellent start-up ideas/projects, 31 typical cooperative groups/poverty reduction models were selected for awards and implementation support with a total budget of nearly 32.5 billion VND.
