On July 16th, the Central Vietnam Women's Union (VWU), in collaboration with the Nghe An Provincial Women's Union, organized a review workshop on implementation of four policy packages to support safe childbirth for ethnic minority women and child healthcare.

On the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024), leaders of the Central Vietnam Women's Union paid a visit and presented gifts to Vietnamese heroic mothers, martyr’s mother, families of social policy, people with meritorious services to the revolution, heroine of the People's Armed Forces, young female volunteers, and women with years of communist party member in provinces, including Lao Cai, Hoa Binh, Tay Ninh, Lam Dong, and Ha Noi city.

On May 18th, within the framework of "Women's Day on the digital transformation journey”, the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) solemnly held the Award Ceremony of the Contest “Applying Information Technology (IT) in VWU’s 2024 Activities”.

Responding to the Month of Action for the Environment and World Environment Day (June 5), VWU at all levels across the country is promoting women's active participation in environmental protection for a greener, cleaner, safer life.

Being aware of the profound meaning of social policy credit, over the last years, the VWU has developed and integrated models and projects for socio-economic development and sustainable poverty reduction with the use of social policy credit funds.

The Vietnam Women's Union Central Committee, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, and the Department of Health and the Women's Union of the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang, on July 16 organised a series of communications events in Sung La commune, Dong Van district to promote safe childbirth and child healthcare in 2024.

On July 3rd, the working delegation of Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU), head by Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Huong, VWU Vice President, undertook the supervision of policies and laws for female labor in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province. Mr. Dang Minh Thong, Vice President of Ba Ria – Vung Tau People’s Committee, worked with the delegation.

With a network of more than 5,000 center leaders at 22 TYM branches participating directly every day and ensuring an important role in grassroots activities, in 2024, TYM has developed a plan and implemented the exploitation of phrase training activities with many improvements and innovations.

On the afternoon of May 22, 2024, Vice President of the Vietnam Women’s Union Nguyen Thi Thu Hien paid a working visit at Thanh Hoa branch of Tinh Thuong One Member Limited Liability Microfinance Institution (TYM). The meeting also had the presence of Provincial Party Committee member, President of Thanh Hoa Provincial Women’s Union Ngo Thi Hong Hao and Chairperson of TYM’s Board of Directors Dinh Thi Tuyet Nhung.

A forum connecting female entrepreneurs of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia was held in Hanoi on July 5, with discussions focusing on green economy.
