Vietnam Women’s Union Delegation Attends 2025 Exchange and Cooperation forum on Women's Development with ASEAN

From July 15 - 18, a VWU’s delegation comprising 13 members led by First Vice President Đỗ Thị Thu Thảo, participated in the 2025 Exchange and Cooperation forum on Women's Development with ASEAN at the invitation of the Women’s Federation of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China).

The Forum was held in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the Fourth United Nations World Conference on Women with delegates from ASEAN countries to discuss the role of women in the digital age, share experiences and strengthen cooperation to enhance women’s empowerment and promote gender equality across the region.

At the opening ceremony, VWU First Vice President Đỗ Thị Thu Thảo highly appreciated the Women’s Federation of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region for hosting the Forum amid rapid global transformation driven by digitalization and artificial intelligence.

Within the Forum’s framework, the delegates have a roundtable dialogue with two topics: career opportunities and challenges for women in the digital-intelligence era, and cross-border e-commerce “Her” practice led by women, visit the Zhiyun AI Industrial Park in Wushang; and tour the Guangxi Museum to name a few.

This event contributed to strengthening international cooperation, enhancing the role and capacity of women in the context of international integration, and fostering friendship and exchanges between Vietnamese and Chinese women, paving the way for more sustainable and effective collaboration in the future.
