Workshop on gender integration into policy planning and implementation
Madame HaThiKhiet - Party Central committee Member, President of the VWU, President of the National Committee for the Advancement of Women attended and opened the workshop. Nearly 60 participants who are heads of CFAWs from Ministries/branches, provinces/cities, cum Chiefs of Personnel- organizing Depts and Planning and Investment Depts. in their respective ministries/branches andprovinces attended the workshop.
Being provided with knowledge on gender mainstreaming, the circle of gender responsive policy planning, the important conditions for the successful gender mainstreaming, the advantages and disadvantages in gender integration in Vietnam context, all participants were actively discussing on these issues and went to the conclusion that gender integration was a new approach as well as a strategic measure to achieve the goal of gender equality in Vietnam and in the world. The workshop contributed to practically support the gender responsive activities in the locality.
