Vietnam Women's Union

At the meeting, the two sides expressed warm feelings and appreciated the traditional and special relationship between the Parties, States, People and women of the two countries in the cause of national liberalization, construction and development.

Congratulating Mrs. Lianys Torres Rivera on her new position, Mme. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha affirmed the friendship and good cooperation between the Vietnam Women’s Union and Cuban Women’s Union over the past time. The two unions have kept exchanging information, high-level delegations and sharing experience in women development, supporting each other in international arena, particularly in the Women’s International Democratic Federation of which the two unions are members.

President Nguyen Thi Thu Ha hoped that the Cuban Ambassador would support the VWU and promote the relationship between the two women’s unions.

Mrs. Lianys Torres Rivera thanked Mrs. Thu Ha for her warm welcome and conveyed the best regards of Mrs. Teresa Amarelle Boue, Secretary General of Cuban Women’s Union to Mrs. Thu Ha. Appreciating the relationship between the women’s unions of the two countries, the Ambassador suggested that the two unions should level up their relationship in the coming time through an MOU signing. She also confirmed her efforts to support and contribute to the women’s development in the two countries.
