US-Vietnam VietHope organization helps homeland students

VietHope, a non-profit organization founded by Vietnamese Americans is set to offer 150 scholarships worth a total US$22,500 to poor university freshmen in Vietnam by 2007.

Beneficiaries are needy excellent students, each of whom will receive a $150 scholarship.


VietHope was formed in the spring of 2002 by a group of Vietnamese students and young professionals in the Boston, San Francisco, New York, Washington DC and Southeast Asia.


It focuses o­n support programs and projects to promote the education of children in Vietnam.


Students interested in the grant can download the scholarship application at the website www.viethope.org.
