The heart of a businesswoman

03/11/2006
She was born in a poor, big family in Long An. As the oldest daughter, she did not have a good chance for her education.

She had to earn her living and to support her brothers and sisters. She said that it was her difficult circumstances that had helped her to have necessary characteristics for a businessman, including industry, patience, thrift and strong will for making rich. She had tried various jobs, including washing, laundry, cleaning, etc. In spite of difficulties, she had always dreamed and determined to set up her own business to change her life.

With her small savings from work, she started her business. At the outset, she bought rice from the countryside and then sold it in the city. Later, she sold mats in Tay Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City. When she saved enough, she set up an ordinary food shop for construction workers. Thanks to her good food with reasonable price, her shop attracted more customers. When she began her business career, she thought that it was important to keep the customers' trust. She has become rich thanks to her right way of doing business.

She has also expanded to sand and soil exploitation. She was so lucky that between 1994-1996, industrial zones in Binh Duong and Dong Nam were mushrooming. With the trust of customers, she won their contracts. Her business ran smoothly and she brought more trucks. In 1999, she bought a barge for sand transportation on the river.

At the moment, though she is the owner of a big business, she has joined the charity work. She is very interested in helping the disabled and Agent Orange victims. In 2005, she spent VND 650 million for charity work. Recently, she was among few winners of Gold Cup for community development 2006.

She said that she used to be poor, so she wanted to share difficulties with poor people. Helping poor people is her happiness.
