Scientific Seminar on “Women and Museum with Sustainable Cultural Development”

On 8th January 2007, in Hanoi, Vietnam Women’s Museum (VWM) and Asian – Pacific Study Commission cultural diversity in human development held the Seminar on “Women and Museum with sustainable cultural development”.

Present at the seminar were representatives from international organizations in Hanoi, experts o­n cultural preservation from Asian countries including China, Pakistan, Singapore, Vietnam and officials of Vietnam Women’s Union.

 

At the Seminar chaired by Prof. Amareswa Gala – Queen’s land University (Australia) and Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Van – Vice Director of the VWM,participants had chance to listen to the introduction and to expose to the VWM’s display system. Participants also shared their views and ideas to enhance the quality and effectiveness of the theme entitled “Objects remain everlasting” which is now displayed at the VWM and other research projects between the VWM and other agencies, branches at the central level and in Hanoi, international organizations, especially Women’s Unions at local level. Among those themes are “Life of women in Cua Van fishing village in Quang Ninh province” and “Environment Education with Nhan Chinh primary school in Hanoi” to name a few…
