Receiving a FVIC delegation led by Chairwoman Rosemarie Hohn Mizo to the committee's 11th meeting in Hanoi on November 2, Mrs Hoa said that with the committee's assistance, the Vietnam Friendship Village in Van Canh commune, Hoai Duc district, northern Ha Tay province, has become a symbol of international solidarity and cooperation for peace.

She also expressed her hope that the committee will continue its support for Vietnamese war victims, helping them to recover from their physical and psychological pains and gradually integrate into the community.

For her part, Mizo briefed the Vietnamese Vice President on the results of the meeting, saying that the FVIC will continue with assistance to the Van Canh Friendship Village.

In the near future, the committee will set up a consulting-room at the village to provide free medical checkups and treatment for veterans and disabled children.
