On 3rd December, the Get-together “Connecting and Sharing 2016” for Vietnamese women of international marriage and overseas Vietnamese women living and working in Vietnam was organized at the Vietnamese Women’s Museum.

VWU Vice – President Bui Thi Hoa affirmed that the VWU will always create opportunities for Vietnamese women of international marriage and overseas Vietnamese women living and working in Vietnam to connect, share experiences and information among themselves and with the VWU.

As emphasized by Mrs. Bui Thi Hoa, with the aim to broaden the union and strengthen the connectivity among women living inside and outside the country, the VWU has implemented several activities for Vietnamese women in general and Vietnamese women of international marriage and overseas Vietnamese women in particular over the past few years. The VWU has also paid more attention to its work regarding overseas Vietnamese women and international marriage especially in the context of international integration.

Especially, in March 2015, the VWU launched a website for overseas Vietnamese women with the domain http://pnvnnuocngoai.vn/ aiming at providing useful information for overseas Vietnamese women and supporting female employees, Vietnamese brides, female students abroad, etc. This is also a forum for the women in more than 100 countries and territories worldwide including those living and working in Vietnam to share their thoughts, expectations, and needs.

The VWU will continue renovating its content and mode of operation to better meet their needs and expectations in its next term.

Participants at the Get-together shared their thoughts, aspirations and proposed initiatives to further promote women’s role in all fields of life as well as in keeping work-life balance.

Psychologist Giao Giao talked about how to keep the family happy and how to become a happy woman. Miss Vietnam 2010 Ngoc Han introduced her Ao Dai Collection and gave advice regarding Ao Dai fashion to participants.

On this occasion, the VWU also called for participants’ charity donation for kids in mountain areas.
