  • White ribbon breakfast in Can Tho – Joining hands to empower women economically and promoting laws to prevent unsafe migration/human trafficking

    On the morning of 23 October 2023, the "White Ribbon Breakfast" event was held in Can Tho with the participation of nearly 100 delegates from departments and agencies; from organisations and unions of Can Tho City.
  • “October Flowers” Program

    On the morning of October 19, the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) organized a program to praise 293 outstanding Presidents of Grassroots WUs in 2023 at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace. With the theme "October Flowers", the program honors the VWU's grassroots staff who have been strongly committed to VWU work and the women's movement nationwide.
  • Running event raises funds for disadvantaged children

    Mottainai Run, themed “Run for strong kids”, took place in Hanoi's Hoan Kiem pedestrian street on October 21-22, in a bid to raise funds for orphans and children affected by traffic accidents.

    A delegation from Bloomberg Philanthropies and organisations joining the charity fund’s initiative to mitigate tobacco use visited Vietnam from October 9-12.
  • Keys implementing "3 Clean-s" model to support ethnic minority women’s members in economic development

    Thu Cuc commune, located in the mountainous region of Tan Son district, Phu Tho province, has encountered challenges in environmental protection for many years due to its diverse ethnic makeup and geographical characteristics. Through practical activities implementing the "3 Clean-s" model, members and women of Thu Cuc commune have not only contributed to enhance the living environment but also help local clean livestock and intensive farming.
  • 5 livelihood models supporting women in border areas

    On the morning of August 29, the Central Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) and the Vietnam Border Guard Command has co-organized a seminar "Sharing evaluation results and consulting on solutions to improve quality and replicate effective livelihood models for ethnic minority and border areas” in Viet Tri City (Phu Tho).
  • Mottainai Fund for disadvantaged children receives warm response

    Mottainai - a charity programme launched by Phu nu Viet Nam (Vietnam’s Women) newspaper to support orphans and disadvantaged children - has received donations of 350 million VND (14,700 USD) and 2,000 items of used clothes within just ten days, the newspaper said on August 22.
  • More than 7,100 ethnic minority women participate in contest on domestic violence prevention and control

    Among nearly 184,000 women participating in the online contest “Gaining knowledge about the 2022 Law on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control” launched by the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU), there were more than 7,100 ethnic minority participants.
  • TYM is a solid fulcrum for women with disabilities

    Over the years, many members of women with disabilities have been able to access TYM’s policy loans. Thus, in Thanh Hoa branch, women with disabilities have a source of investment capital to develop production, animal husbandry, small businesses and trading, have income, and improve their quality of life.
