• Three thousand essential packages to migrant women distributed

    From January 16 to 23, 2022, the UN Women in Viet Nam in collaboration with the Vietnam Women’s Union delivered 3,000 gender sensitive essential packages, worth 3 billion VND (150,000 USD), to 3,000 women in Ho Chi Minh City, Thai Binh and Nghe An. These are migrant workers who are facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic and are also at high risk of gender-based violence.
  • Vietnam – Korea discuss effective models and practices to support migrant women

    From Novermber 4 – 5, 2021, the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU), the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) jointly organized the "Vietnam - Korea Bilateral Workshop: Exchanging effective models and practices supporting married migrant women and their families”. This is under the project “Strengthening Vietnamese Capacity for Sustainable Reintegration of Returning Migrants Women and their Households in Vietnam” funded by KOICA.
