The Women's Union of Hung Yen province launched a model to attract members on the cyberspace called “My Hao Women in New Era”.

HANOI, Vietnam, November 6, 2024 - more than 200 social activists, scientists, business leaders and women attended the forum "Women Pioneers in Circular Economy Development," organized by the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) and the Resources and Environment Magazine.

On the morning of November 16, 2024, in Ho Chi Minh City, the VWU held a meeting themed "Join hands, change together" in response to the National Action Month for Gender Equality and Gender-Based Violence Prevention & Response 2024.

On December 3, 2024 in Dien Bien province, over 150 young people and students gathered to listen, discuss successful stories, and share initiatives promoting gender equality and women's leadership, particularly for ethnic minority women.

From there, women have the opportunity to improve their knowledge, professional skills and opportunities for self-development.

100% of the Executive Committee members voted Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party-Designated Representation in VWU, member of the VWU Executive Committee, member of the VWU Presidium, to be VWU President for the 2022-2027 term.

On May 18th, within the framework of "Women's Day on the digital transformation journey”, the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) solemnly held the Award Ceremony of the Contest “Applying Information Technology (IT) in VWU’s 2024 Activities”.

Responding to the Month of Action for the Environment and World Environment Day (June 5), VWU at all levels across the country is promoting women's active participation in environmental protection for a greener, cleaner, safer life.

Being aware of the profound meaning of social policy credit, over the last years, the VWU has developed and integrated models and projects for socio-economic development and sustainable poverty reduction with the use of social policy credit funds.

With a network of more than 5,000 center leaders at 22 TYM branches participating directly every day and ensuring an important role in grassroots activities, in 2024, TYM has developed a plan and implemented the exploitation of phrase training activities with many improvements and innovations.

On the afternoon of May 22, 2024, Vice President of the Vietnam Women’s Union Nguyen Thi Thu Hien paid a working visit at Thanh Hoa branch of Tinh Thuong One Member Limited Liability Microfinance Institution (TYM). The meeting also had the presence of Provincial Party Committee member, President of Thanh Hoa Provincial Women’s Union Ngo Thi Hong Hao and Chairperson of TYM’s Board of Directors Dinh Thi Tuyet Nhung.

A forum connecting female entrepreneurs of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia was held in Hanoi on July 5, with discussions focusing on green economy.
