Result of 2 years implementation of the VWU’s mobilization on “Building and Repairing Affection Houses”
In 2004, Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) launched the Mobilization on “Building Affection Houses” to commemorate 50th Year of the Dien Bien Phu Victory with the aim that by 2010, there will be no families living in dilapidated or temporary houses. At the 3rd session (July, 2008) of VWU Executive Committee, VWU continued to promote the Mobilization on “Building Affection Houses” for poor women, single women and disabled women with especially difficult situations with the target that “There is every week getting one new house built for poor women - poor family”. -

National Week on Vietnamese Women 2010 launched
The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in Hanoi on January 12 coordinated with the Vietnam Women Entrepreneurs Council (VWEC) and the Central Vietnam Women’s Union to hold a press conference to launch the National Week on Vietnamese Women 2010.
