Supporting women in economic development as a direct tool to address gender inequality is the point of view and the goal that the Bank for Social Policies and the Vietnam Women's Union are aiming for through the implementation of social policy credit programmes over the years. -
“Happy Crescent Moon” honoring exemplary disabled couples
On the evening of October 11, in Hanoi, the Association for the Support of Vietnamese Handicapped and Orphans (ASVHO), the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU), the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and The Vietnam National Assembly Television jointly organized the 4th "Happiness for disabled couple" with the theme of “Happy Crescent Moon”. Project promotes financial inclusion for ethnic minority women
A project titled "Reach to Excel: Promoting Financial Inclusion for Ethnic Minority Women" has supported the development of more than 500 self-managed village credit savings groups (VSLA) with more than 11,000 women participating in savings and small-scale lending. -

Kon Tum Women’s Union launching the 2022 Program "Supporting women in border areas”

In response to the call of the Vietnamese Party and State leaders on the Covid-19 pandemic prevention and VWU’s “Million gifts of love” program – providing social protection for women and children affected by COVID-19, the VWU Presidium has recently issued a plan to implement the “Patron-parents” Program to support orphans, who lost their parents due to the pandemic.
