Towards March 8, 2025, the Women's Union at all levels began to have exciting and practical activities in response to the 2025 Ao Dai Week.

HANOI, Vietnam – Gender equality advancement have affirmed the position of Vietnamese women on the journey of building the country. Although there are still many challenges to achieve the set goals, with Party and state directions and policies, combined with the efforts of the whole political system, female cadre work promises great strides in the new era of national development.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will chair a meeting with female generals, heroines of the people's armed forces, labour heroines, and female scientists on the occasion of the International Women’s Day on March 8.

On February 13, the Central VWU coordinated with the Hai Duong Provincial WU to organize the Launching Ceremony of the “Tree Planting Festival 2025” at the Temple of female PhD Nguyen Thi Due in Chi Linh City of Hai Duong Province.

In celebration of the 115th anniversary of International Women’s Day (March 8) and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, on February 27, Vietnam Women’s Union will coordinate with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission and the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee to organize a National scientific conference on the role of the "Long-Haired Army" and the "Three Responsibilities" movement during the resistance war against the US.

The Women, Peace and Security Agenda (WPS) was formally initiated by the landmark UN Security Council Resolution 1325 (UNSCR 1325), which was adopted in 2000, affirming the important role of women in conflict prevention and resolution, and peacebuilding.

On the morning of December 27, in Hanoi, Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) in collaboration with the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Vietnam launched the Kick-off and planning workshop for the EU-funded "Women-led Green Partnership" project. HANOI, Vietnam, November 6, 2024 - more than 200 social activists, scientists, business leaders and women attended the forum "Women Pioneers in Circular Economy Development," organized by the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) and the Resources and Environment Magazine.

100% of the Executive Committee members voted Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party-Designated Representation in VWU, member of the VWU Executive Committee, member of the VWU Presidium, to be VWU President for the 2022-2027 term.
