VWU President welcomes Japanese Prime Minister's Spouse to Vietnam Women's Museum

Ha Noi, April 27 – Mrs. Ishiba Yoshiko, spouse of Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru, visited the Vietnam Women’s Museum in Hanoi during her official trip to Vietnam. She was warmly welcomed by Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen, Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam Women’s Union.

Welcoming Mrs. Ishiba Yoshiko, VWU President Nguyen Thi Tuyen expressed her pleasure at the special visit, which comes as Vietnam marks the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and national reunification. On behalf of the VWU and women across the country, Ms. Tuyen wished the Japanese delegation a successful visit.

During the meeting, VWU President Nguyen Thi Tuyen highlighted the strong development in relations between women of the two countries. She thanked the Japanese Government and Embassy in Vietnam for their consistent support, particularly in areas such as microfinance, volunteer programs, female leadership training, domestic violence prevention, women's economic empowerment...

At the event

Touring the museum, Mrs. Ishiba, accompanied by VWU President, Vice President, and other delegates, explored exhibits showcasing the stories and contributions of Vietnamese women from various regions. She admired the stories of Vietnamese women’s resilience and sacrifices throughout history, the cultural heritage preserved by Vietnamese women and hoped they would continue to promote their role and strengths to develop in all areas of life and society.

The visit concluded warmly and successfully. Mrs. Ishiba Yoshiko expressed her sincere thanks to VWU President for the warm reception and a meaningful tour of the Vietnam Women’s Museum. Ms. Tuyen also thanked Mrs. Ishiba and emphasized the Union’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Japanese partners. She affirmed that the VWU is ready to welcome a high-level Japanese women’s delegation in the near future.
