Vietnam to annually showcase its culture on foreign soil

Vietnam has decided to hold Vietnamese Days abroad every year from 2007 to showcase its culture and heritage.

It would hold this cultural event in two or three foreign countries every year, Premier Nguyen Tan Dung announced, assigning agencies concerned to draft plans for it and to work with the Ministry of Finance o­n the budget. 

Vietnamese Days is aimed at promoting the country’s image, tourism, trade and investment as well as improving relations with other countries.


It was held in the US, Germany, and Singapore last year and in Belgium, Luxembourg, and the UK a few months ago.


France
and India are in line next year.
