The silent voluntary communities

Not campaign, not noisily movement/ operations, the younger silently access/ finding pavements, parks… teaching for the homeless children, examining for rootless population (people who have no house or flat to live). They are voluntary communities.

Having common goal to help disable, difficult children… many youths has set up voluntary communities. They are club namely The May, working Ants, Young voluntary, BIG HEART, or Friendship arm…

 

Happiness in sharing

 

 

During 8 years, over 100 members of Young voluntary club has been friends “always listening and penetrating” of children bagged, shoe shined, homeless, to run the streets.

 

At present, young volunteers has been teaching five classes affection for poor children. o­ne class for children lives in the middle of an alluvial plain of Red river, a class namely “Nho” (remembering, homesick) in Bach Mai, another namely “Cau Moi Heart ” in Nguyen Trai, “Fishing village” in Phuc Xa, Long Bien, “Bach Mai affection” in No 37 Hong Mai, Hanoi. To convince the homeless children wander in the street is difficult. The members had to seek the friendship to the children in each parks, each lanes in the streets, eventually went to Quang Xuong, Thanh Hoa, to propagandize and find out the situation of many children. “many children is not believed in dreamed-of kind hearted of the strangers, in addition they have no patient to trace each handwriting”. Wherever get fail they are discouraged. However they open hearts with our, patient to listening we give lessons… we are all happy” – said Vu The Luc, head of young voluntary club.

 

Established since 2002, over 20 members of the May club up to now had been organized many meaningful charitable activities. They has gone everywhere to collect paper, notebook, clothes donated for the poor children. They set up many programme such as: birthday, Tetfor children in 1st June, the Mid-Autumn Festival, for the children who are victims of dioxin agent orange live in Huu Nghi village, Ha Tay.

 

“Whether the present of the Mid-Autumn festival are o­nly candy, banh deo (sticky rice cake), or simply o­ng sao light (Five-pointed star light), deeply in these are sharing their sympathetic hearts, almost students in every universities” said Le Hung, head of the May club.

 

Meanwhile, “male and female” ants in Ants group, have their own way to share difficulties of the innocent children who are victims of agent orange. Nguyen Hoang Anh, the second-year student of International Relations Institute, head of the group confided that they made me realized that singular efforts to overcome difficulties of children in Huu Nghi village, Ha Tay when with my own eyes seeing their handicraft products such as: embroidered pillow, handbags, cards…

 

In order to supply for unlucky people have been trying best to overcome difficulties in their lives, Ants group has found the market for their products, helping the children have sustainable income. Besides, there are many voluntary communities was established such as: Friendship arm set up in the early of 2006, May of 19th voluntary group with its members are students in Hanoi medical University specialized in examining and curing free for poor children, the BIG HEARTS community with nearly 100 international and Vietnamese members, studying in Vietnam and abroad…

 

United to voluntary activities

 

Not noisily as open movements have recently launched, they united to groups. Each group united to become large communities to multiply their strengthen.

 

In the early of April, 2006, Young voluntary club cooperated with May of 19th club to examine and cure for homeless children in Hoang Hoa Tham precinct, Hanoi.

 

Earlier, in 10th April 2006, Young voluntary and May 19th club had been cooperated successfully Public sale, and collected 20 million VND to raise fund for difficult children in Hanoi.

 

Latest time, BIG HEARTS also cooperated with the May club to teach drawing for children, agent orange victim, then set up an exhibition to raise a fund to help them.

 

BIG HEARTS combine with institute of Press and propaganda, carried out voluntary bookcase, to bring the knowledge to difficult remote area of Ha Giang.

 

Duong Quynh Hoa, “President of the Group” Big HEARTS said that they will enhance to cooperate with other voluntary Clubs to organize larger and meaningful activities for disable children. This is also the same ideas of Thuy Duong, head ofFriendship arm; Le Hung, head of the May club; Vu The Luc, head ofYoung voluntary club.

 

Tireless efforts for development of communities – a beautiful feature of excellent Vietnamese youths in nowadays.
