Movement following the example of war martyr Dang Thuy Tram launched
In early April 1967, having graduated from Hanoi University of Medicine, doctor Dang Thuy Tram volunteered to go to the south and came to the fierce fighting land of Duc Pho district. During her stay there, doctor Dang Thuy Tram overcame difficulties to take care and cure war invalids and locals, especially after their fighings with enemies. on June 22, 1970, doctor Dang Thuy Tram was ambushed and killed on mission. In recognition for her dedication to the revolution, the State President decided to present posthumously the title People’s Armed Forces Hero to her.
To praise high the example of doctor Dang Thuy Tram as the pride of young people in general and of the health sector in particular, minister of health Tran Thi Trung Chien launched a movement to follow in her footsteps.
