Twenty-four Vietnamese women who are successful in international affairs have together found a club to promote the image of Vietnamese women in the global arena.

Named the Global Vietnamese Women Network (GVWN), the club made its first debut in Hanoi on July 15, with its first 95 members who are working in different sectors and fields.

GVWN, a non-profit organisation, aims to get Vietnamese women to share experiences and promote activities worldwide, said an initiator, Ton Nu Thi Ninh, who used to work as Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly’s Committee for Foreign Affairs and ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg.

GVWN has set to carry out social and charitable programmes, organise seminars and meetings with international missions, and assist women to access services.

“We will have charitable activities to help poor girls through the “Club of warm arms” and “Female talents” funds,” said Mrs Ninh.
