Charity concert to be held for women’s welfare
Performing at the concert will be Thanh Thuy, Hong Hanh, My Hanh, Hien Thuc, Thanh Ngoc, Trang Nhung and Nhu Y.
The highlight of the show will be the performance of “Ba muoi hai bong hue trang” (32 white lilies) by the most popular cai luong (a kind of Vietnamese tranditional opera) artistes Minh Vuong and Le Thuy.
The performance is based on 32 young females who bravely fought, and lost their lives, against American troops in the city’s Binh Chanh District in 1968.
The concert will raise money for supporting disadvantaged women who live in poor housing.
The show starts at 8.30pm and will be broadcast live on HTV9.
The concert is held by Phu Nu Newspaper and Ho Chi Minh TV with the sponsor from Vietcombank, Comeco, Thu Duc House, Saigon Coop, Khang Gia and Viet A Bank.
