Books and film discs given to AO victims
On July 25, the Ministry of Information and Communications gave 200 books and 100 film discs to the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange (VAVA).
The works talk about the pain of those who have to suffer from the serious consequences brought by the American invader; the care from the State and Party towards AO victims; the sharing of the people’s voice nationwide and international friends for the victims in the support for justice.
The works also include outstanding AO victims who overcame the consequences to integrate into the community, setting shining examples for the other victims to follow.
The book award ceremony aims to support AO victims and commemorate the day for AO victims.
Earlier, on 6 August 2004, the Office of the Party Central Committee had an official dispatch informing that the Secretariat had agreed with the taking of August 10 annually as the day for Vietnamese AO victims./.
