A Woman giving blood over 50 times praised
The prime minister has presented a certificate of merit to Mrs Ly Thi Kim Thinh, born in 1957, who is a small trader in ward 5, Tuy Hoa city, Phu Yen province.
Since 1979, Mrs Thinh has given blood for over 50 times, thus helping to save many patients. In addition, Mrs Thinh has encouraged her family and relatives to give blood. All money as gifts in return for her blood donations has been given to the fund for free meals of Phu Yen general hospital.
In 2004, Mrs Ly Thi Kim Thinh was also presented with a letter of commendation from State President Tran Duc Luong and awarded VND 5 million for her good deeds. She also used the money for charity activities.
